An immensity of dry stone trulli gives Alberobello a unique and inimitable horizon, recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site.

The heart of the town is entirely made up of trulli, the original dry stone houses, whitewashed with quicklime and with a cone-shaped roof made of exposed stones. Crosses, pierced hearts and zodiac symbols decorate the roof of each trullo, which keeps its mystery intact.
